Flexirod Twists

Tools: Ouidad Double Detangler Comb, Cricket Ultra Smooth Coconut Oil & Keratin Pick Comb, Denman Small Paddle Brush (optional), Colortrak Duckbill Clips, Salon Care Soft Rollers, Sally Shear Mist Trigger Sprayer, Gold ‘N Hot Professional Ionic Soft Bonnet Dryer, Stay On Satin Large Scarf

 

Method:

  1. Squeeze your microfiber towel to remove any excess water
  2. Remove your towel
  3. Take down one section
  4. Apply your leave-in conditioner and hair oil to the lengths of your hair (avoid the scalp)
  5. Comb hair with your wide-toothed comb to detangle and distribute products through
  6. Take a smaller section of hair and apply gel
  7. Split the section into two
  8. Twist one of the sections into a two-strand twist as tight as possible
  9. Repeat for remaining section
  10. Wrap the ends of both twists around the middle of the flexirod
  11. Roll the flexirod towards your scalp and bend to secure
  12. Continue until the whole head is covered in flexirods
  13. Put your hair dryer on the lowest heat setting possible (do not use the cool setting if there is one)
  14. Sit under your hair dryer until your hair is completely dry
  15. Carefully take out the flexirods
  16. Style using fingers and hair pick
  17. Finish with a few spritz of shine spray (optional)

Night:

  1. Put your hair in a loose ponytail or just wrap your scarf around your head leaving the ends free

Morning:

  1. Gently take down your hair
  2. Restyle using finger and hair pick
  3. Finish with a few spritz of shine spray (optional)

Note: Your styling products should contain either no silicones or water-soluble silicones to prevent buildup and rinse out of your hair easily.
